With the participant deadline fast approaching we have asked some more questions, just for you.
Why take part in Cork Photo?
It’s a great opportunity to be part of a new festival that is giving exposure and support to photographers. The festival will surely grow and I’m really pleased to be part of it from the beginning. The energy and ideas of the organisers is amazing and that really makes for a successful festival now and in the future.
What aspects of taking part are you looking forward to?
The festival is a great way to meet new, like-minded people, discuss ideas and make connections. Getting prints on a wall is the best way to connect your work with the outside world and that’s why festivals like Cork Photo are important.
Do you usually take part in festivals or exhibitions?
Yes, I do submit to festivals and exhibit when I can. I’m studying for a Masters degree at the moment but found time to exhibit work last October in the photo fringe festival in Brighton, England. Since then I’ve been shortlisted for a few festivals and have been nominated for a Magnum Graduate award.
You will find Martin’s work in this years Cork Photo HQ Exhibition, Camden Palace Hotel.
