Directed by Wes Anderson, 2014, USA, 100min

On Wednesday in Camden Palace Hotel (not a hotel) we will take you on a ride to “The Grand Budapest Hotel” (the film not the hotel). The Deja View – Camden Palace Hotel Screening Club presents a film this time from a recent production, because they are great films coming out even from Hollywood (who would have thought)

synopsis: The adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.

Visually stunning outing from Wes Anderson, absurd, funny and very colourful with a great performance by Ralph Fiennes as Gustave H and many exciting cameos which include the likes of Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel just to name a few. Wes Anderson creates a unique world on its own and the visuals are spectacular, it is like a walk through a painting.
“Keep Your hands off my lobby boy”

The Deja View experience starts at 7PM in our Cafe with selection of teas, coffees and wines and free food snacks. Prior to the movie we show a short 10-12min compilation of shorts, animations, music, art, science and vintage commercials. Movie is also introduced by a member of The Deja View team or a guest speaker, shedding some light on the theme of the film or some background when needed. watch the event page for more info.
