Cork Photo Gallery showcases artists working with photography and related media. We aim to challenge perceptions and encourage a dialogue to explore this unique mode of visual communication. We welcome submissions for our annual programme and regularly hold open calls.

We have teamed up with local artist’s and small businesses to create an exciting programme of creative workshops. Bringing together some of Cork’s finest talents in one unique location. Learn new skills, meet like minded people and get creative!

Cork Photo festival submissions open in October 2017 with the now biennial festival taking place in April 2018. Over the last three years, our open theme and inclusive approach has allowed Cork’s photographic scene to flourish, creating a festival that embraces experimentation and encourages the viewer seek out and explore.

Nice words

“Cork Photo is a group-led initiative that encourages individual initiative. I admire the ethos behind it and I am happy to support it any way I can. It also provides me with an opportunity to show my work to a different audience.”
Brian Mac Domhnaill

“For me it’s a lot about learning. I can’t wait to see the work of all the other contributors. I am particularly interested to see how they engage with their chosen spaces. It’s going to be great fun.”
Orla O’Byrne

“It’s a great opportunity to be part of a new festival that is giving exposure and support to photographers. The festival will surely grow and I’m really pleased to be part of it from the beginning. The energy and ideas of the organisers is amazing and that really makes for a successful festival now and in the future.”
